Planning Lenora's 1st Birthday

I can’t believe it’s that time already…FIRST BIRTHDAY! Well since party planning is one of my favorite things to do, planning small party for Lenora just wouldn’t be possible; so we decided to not throw her one at all and to just do a dinner with family and a few friends. Works for me. Especially since Lenora won’t remember it. We’ll save the theatrics and streamers for her 2nd or 3rd birthday; I’m thinking Mad Hatter Tea Party!  Anyway, so I decided to do some DIY invites. I went with a BRIGHT colored theme since Lenora is a silly goofball!
To top it all off I found this perfect shirt for her at Fred Meyer today, and it was 50% off, SCORE! I also made her a hair pretty to match.

11 Months

Here are a few of the pictures from Lenora’s 11 Month Photo Shoot. Not much to say about it, except it again was an all-day thing. We kept having to stop and then try again later. Something is also wrong with the camera, or the lighting by the sliding door is just really bad! We’ll have to figure it out. New camera maybe? Anyway, I finally had to bribe her with snacks, which is why if you look closely her hands are clenched… because they are full of puffs.  She is a silly girl, and I can only imagine how much fun trying to get her 12 month photo will be.  The last photo, is like “are we done yet mom!?”
STILL NO TEETH!

Doing Laundry

Lenora loves to help do pretty much anything that were doing, whether it be wiping off her highchair tray, vacuuming, sweeping, picking up her toys, folding clothes/unfolding clothes, putting them away, and now helping to do the laundry.  Today she helped put all the clothes into the washing machine! I didn’t even ask for her help, she just crawled over and started helping all by herself.  She loves watching the clothes get washed since she can see through the door, she points at all the bubbles and say’s “what’s that.”  She gets really excited when she sees us throw a big pile of clothes on the floor which means… FOLDING TIME! She will hand us each piece of clothing and as she hands it over she say’s “thank you”, it’s so sweet.
The other day she found a fabric softener sheet on the floor (a used one) and started scrubbing the couch, the floor, the TV stand, us, pretty much everything. So either she was trying to help or she was hinting that I needed to do some cleaning.
She absolutely FREAKS if she is in her playpen while I start vacuuming. She screams and yell’s “Ma, Ma, Ma.” She has to be out while I’m vacuuming so she can help.  I’m thinking of getting her a pretend vacuum (not one that makes any sort of popping noise, we have to many noise producing toys) when she can walk, so she can help mommy without going crazy.
She’s a little mini Suzy homemaker in the making. I can’t wait until she starts helping me cook.
